Terible customer support

Acquired this notebook just following Christmas, right after seeking at critiques of slim light-weight pcs. I was at first pleased with it, but then discovered the the touchpad was not aligned flush with the entire body. Within a week the screen started out establishing 'dead spots'.For a brand new laptop costing so much, I was not content to say the the very least. As I had spent time location it up and putting in my computer software, I contacted Asus for the faults to be set. They were incredibly unhelpful and mentioned even though it seemed like a guarantee problem they ended up not confident and if I wished them to fix I must pay out above £400 added (what a cheek) or return it for a new one. I declined reset it to manufacturing facility re-picture and send out it again for my income, which was provided to me instantly. In addition the handbook suggests there is a community dongle supplied in the box, this was also lacking. Could be much better

I chose this ultrabook since its a excellent size and light-weight for carrying to and from function. It has a very good sturdy casing and display and the keyboard is wonderful to use. I only gave it 3 stars however due to the fact of the mouse pad- it necessary an improve as quickly as I switched the machine on as it was a nightmare to use- leaping all above the area etc. Because the improve, which I had to search for on-line, locate and download, it has been significantly better. I selected the Home windows 8 variation- what a Huge mistake- I find it amazingly irritating- hidden icons that you cannot make look when you want them (you are just intended to be in a position to run your pointer over the corners of the monitor) and then appear randomly when you don't want them. I would purchase the ultrabook- just not with home windows eight

Seems great performs crappy

When I turned on my brand name new Asus for the very first time, it was password locked by some consumer named George. Meaning it was not brand new as promised by Amazon. If I didn't have my IT professional on board, I would not have been capable to reinstall Windows 8 on my personal and I would have returned it - which would have been better.Total the intelligent mousepad shortcut actions are great! But stop functioning if I depart my pc on snooze manner then change it again on again. Also the wifi signal keeps dropping, generating being linked an unpredictable affair.Home windows eight is a whole other story all-collectively! Cluncky and buggy!
